Kochava for agencies

How agency access, client permissions, agency credit, seats and cost work in Kochava, from its own documentation.

Short answer

Agency setting on a Kochava account, requested by an advertiser already on Kochava, with three access profiles. An agency account incurs no additional cost.

Access

How does agency access work in Kochava?

  • The agency needs a Kochava account with the Agency setting turned on. The request comes from an advertiser already using Kochava, by email to Kochava support.
  • The agency then creates a Media Partner Profile of type Public Agency.
  • Associating one user with several accounts is documented as available only to Kochava employees, so one login across many clients is not confirmed.
Permissions

What does the client control?

  • Three profiles: Controlled (assigned campaigns, reporting, analytics), Limited (adds campaign, segment and tracker creation and partner configuration) and Full (adds app tools and campaign management).
  • Each agency sees only campaigns it created or campaigns assigned to it.
  • Turning the Active toggle off stops new tracker creation but keeps existing trackers.
Credit

Are campaigns the agency runs credited to it?

  • Activity on Controlled trackers is tagged as belonging to the agency.
  • Agency postbacks send only traffic attributed to that agency. Self-attributing network campaigns need the tracker ID appended to the campaign name.
Seats and cost

Seats and cost

  • The pricing page limits conversions and MAU; a seat limit is not stated.
  • Kochava states that an agency account incurs no additional cost; client traffic is billed to the client's account.
  • Kochava Authorized Partner Program for agencies: training and a badge.

FAQ

Questions

Does a Kochava agency account cost extra?

No. Kochava states that an agency account incurs no additional cost, and client traffic is billed to the client's own account.

What access levels can a Kochava client give an agency?

Three profiles: Controlled, Limited and Full. Each agency sees only campaigns it created or campaigns assigned to it, whichever profile it holds.

How does Kochava credit agency traffic?

Activity on the agency's Controlled trackers is tagged as belonging to the agency, and agency postbacks send only traffic attributed to that agency.

What is an MMP?

A mobile measurement partner (MMP) is the tool an app uses to record which ad, link or campaign led to each install and in-app event. Agencies work inside the client's MMP to build tracking links, read results and prove which campaigns they ran.

How do agencies manage reporting for multiple clients?

Most agencies use one MMP login that switches between clients, then export the data each client allows into their own reporting. Linkrunner, AppsFlyer and Singular document a single agency login across clients; Adjust lets one login switch between client accounts.

Can an agency get a white-label client dashboard from an MMP?

None of the agency documentation we read for the eight MMPs describes a white-label client dashboard. Agencies usually build client reports from exported data, so check that export is a permission the client will grant.
